Introduction

Serosep Ltd., a diagnostics company based in Annacotty, Limerick, provides testing solutions to healthcare systems including the HSE and NHS. While not currently required to report under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Serosep recognised that sustainability performance was becoming a key factor in public sector tenders. To stay ahead, they made the decision to invest early in a structured ESG reporting approach.

The Challenge

Sustainability requirements were starting to appear in procurement processes, even for companies not yet formally covered by ESG reporting laws. Serosep needed to take a proactive approach to remain competitive, but the process of gathering environmental data and aligning with evolving standards such as double materiality and energy performance was a complex task without internal ESG systems in place.

The Partnership

Antaris worked with Serosep to develop a Carbon Reduction Plan, carry out an Energy Audit, and complete a Double Materiality Assessment. These key steps helped build the foundation for a practical and integrated ESG strategy. The aim was not only to tick compliance boxes, but to build long-term value by embedding sustainability into the day-to-day operations of the business.
