Sustainability Strategy & Action Plan - Trinzo. - Antaris Consulting

Sustainability Strategy & Action Plan – Trinzo.

The Context

Trinzo is a consulting and training firm based in Galway that provides support to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries with compliance, regulatory and project management challenges.

Trinzo partnered with Antaris to support the development of a sustainability strategy and action plan, to embed sustainability across their value chain.

The Challenge

Corporate sustainability is a key priority for organisations, driven by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Market and consumer pressures are also driving sustainability to the forefront of the business community. Having a sustainability strategy in place can help companies respond to these different requirements, as well as promoting growth, efficiency, and transparency. But developing and implementing a sustainability strategy requires careful planning, resource allocation, and a commitment from leadership and employees alike.

The Idea

At Antaris we have developed our own methodology for developing a sustainability strategy and action plan, which can be customised to the client’s needs.

  • Baseline Review
  • Carbon Footprint
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Materiality Assessment
  • Strategy Creation
  • Action Plan
  • Operationalisation

The Execution

Trinzo availed of grant support from Enterprise Ireland (Climate Action Voucher and GreenStart) to support their sustainability journey. Antaris worked closely with representatives of Trinzo’s ESG team throughout the duration of the project, with weekly meetings to discuss progress and outputs. The project covered stages 1 to 5 of the methodology, which included:

  • Baseline assessment, which helped us identify Trinzo’s standing in terms of ESG, and the gaps and opportunities to be acted upon.
  • Carbon footprint assessment for their Galway premises.
  • Stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment, including interviews and surveys with employees, suppliers and clients.
  • Strategy and action plan development, fed by previous steps and workshops with employees.

The Result

Alignment to 5 priority SDGs (3, 4, 12, 13, 17)

Setting of strategic objectives in line with chosen SDGs. Material topics determined through a process of stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment across environmental, social and governance aspects. Carbon footprint baseline for 2023 for scope 1, scope 2 and relevant scope 3 categories. Development of sustainability strategy document. Development of action plan in line with strategic objectives, to be implemented by Trinzo’s ESG team.
