Antaris Consulting has committed to reducing our absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 (from a 2018 base year), and to measuring and reducing our scope 3 emissions.
Antaris Consulting has had its emissions reduction targets from company operations (scopes 1 and 2) approved by the Science Based Targets initiative as being consistent with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Antaris is one of only 26 Irish companies approved by the SBTi as committed to SBTi and one of only 7 Companies in Ireland with targets approved by the SBTi set to meet 1.5°C targets.
The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets. Galvanized by the historic Paris Agreement, the transition to a zero-carbon economy is underway and accelerating globally. Hundreds of corporations worldwide are preparing for the transition by setting emissions reduction targets grounded in climate science – to limit global warming to well below 2°C above preindustrial levels and pursue efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.
