Free Workshop with Shannon Chamber on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) – Workshop

Antaris is delighted to support Shannon Chamber in delivering a series of free workshops on corporate sustainability. The first workshop will address the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

In today’s world, businesses are increasingly expected to demonstrate their commitment to social and environmental responsibility. This workshop is designed to equip professionals, senior leaders and business owners with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to navigate the complex landscape of CSRD reporting effectively.

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) enhances the existing reporting requirements of the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). It aims to increase transparency in sustainability matters by expanding the scope of companies required to disclose environmental and social information. The CSRD mandates a detailed reporting of how company activities affect sustainability aspects and how sustainability issues influence company performance.

This directive applies to all large companies, listed companies, and relevant SMEs within the EU, significantly broadening the range of businesses affected compared to the NFRD. Additionally, the CSRD introduces more stringent reporting standards, requiring the audit of reported information and the adherence to mandatory EU sustainability reporting standards, which are currently being developed.

The implementation of the CSRD is intended to provide stakeholders, including investors and consumers, with more reliable and comparable information, thereby facilitating more sustainable economic activities.

Why Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is Important for Businesses?

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) holds significant importance for businesses in today’s global economy. By mandating enhanced transparency and disclosure of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information, the CSRD enables companies to better understand and manage their sustainability impacts. This directive provides a standardized framework for reporting on sustainability performance, facilitating comparability and accountability across industries and jurisdictions. Compliance with the CSRD not only meets regulatory requirements but also enhances credibility and trust among stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, and regulators. Furthermore, CSRD reporting helps businesses identify areas for improvement, drive innovation, and seize opportunities for sustainable growth.
