Green for Micro Programme in Conjunction with Local Enterprise Office

As service provider on the Green Directory with Enterprise Ireland, Antaris is delighted to welcome the opportunity given by the Local Enterprise Office in their ‘Green for Micro’ programme – a new initiative from the Local Enterprise Offices which aims to help prepare small businesses for the low carbon, more resource efficient economy of the future. This is a FREE programme, available to companies with up to ten employees, and it is particularly suited to businesses in construction and the built environment, retail, manufacturing, textiles and fashion, food, electronics, plastics, and packaging.

Developing a ‘greener’ policy can offer many benefits to your business, including:

  • Increased cost savings
  • Improved resource efficiency (for example: using less energy, water and materials)
  • Reduced environmental footprint and greenhouse gas emissions
  • Opportunities for higher and additional value on products and services
  • Increased access to customers, improved corporate image
  • Increased resilience to climate change impacts

Green for Micro allows companies with less than ten employees to avail of advice and technical support, covering topics such as resource efficiency, understanding your carbon footprint and implementing an environmental management system; as well as find out what steps to take to reduce costs and lower your greenhouse gas emissions. This is done through the provision of two days mentoring with a specialist Green Consultant, who will include recommendations on specific changes which your business can implement. Your Green Consultant will be chosen from the Enterprise Ireland Green Directory or from your Local Enterprise Office mentor panel. Your specific needs will be matched to the Green Consultant’s area of expertise.

How to Apply?

To be eligible, your company must have less than ten employees, and you must make a submission to the Local Enterprise Office by clicking the link here, which will you bring to a page providing the Application Form to complete and details for application submission.

Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Local Enterprise Office.

Finally, once approved by LEO, there will be a discussion and decision between you, the client, and your allocated Local Enterprise Office Advisor, to choose a suitable provider from either the Enterprise Ireland Green Directory and/or the local mentor panel – this is where you choose Antaris.
